Today, Athena's Angels present a new campaign: the Leiden University Senate Chamber, where you can usually see 117 portraits of men and only 1 of a woman, will now show 99 portraits of female professors. With this campaign, the Angels would like to draw attention to the importance of image for the opportunities for women in academia; they want to show that times have changed and that it is high time to make more room for women - literally and figuratively!
